Digi-CCI Project Dissemination Event Held in İzmir: Strengthening Digital Skills of Youth Workers in Creative Fields

As part of the Erasmus+ KA210-YOU project Digital Capacity Development for Youth Workers in Cultural and Creative Industries (Digi-CCI), a local dissemination event was successfully organised in İzmir, Türkiye, on 13 December 2024.

All project outputs and further information can be reached at www.digicci.com!

The event brought together 34 youth workers, trainers, representatives of non-governmental organisations, and professionals active in the fields of culture, creativity, and non-formal education. The main objective of the dissemination event was to present the Digi-CCI project, its key outputs, and the opportunities it offers for youth workers to strengthen their digital competences in the context of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs).

During the event, participants were introduced to the Digi-CCI Training Programme, which was developed in both face-to-face and online formats, as well as the Digi-CCI Toolbox, which includes practical digital tools and good practice examples tailored to youth work in creative fields. The project’s open-access online platform was also presented, highlighting how youth workers across Europe can access the training materials, toolbox resources, and online certification free of charge.

The dissemination event also served as a space for discussion and exchange, where participants reflected on the challenges youth workers face in adapting to digital transformation and explored how digital tools can be effectively integrated into creative and non-formal education practices. The interactive nature of the session allowed participants to share experiences and identify opportunities for applying the Digi-CCI outputs in their own local and institutional contexts.

This local dissemination activity contributed to raising awareness about the importance of digital skills in youth work and supported the creation of local networks focused on innovation, creativity, and digitalisation. By sharing the results of the Digi-CCI project with a wider audience, the event helped extend the project’s impact beyond the direct participants and supported the long-term sustainability of its outcomes.

The Digi-CCI project is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and implemented in cooperation between partner organisations from Norway, Belgium, and Türkiye.
